Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh Selects Summa as Technology Services Provider

Summa Leading Modernization of Internet Banking Application

Pittsburgh, PA (November 13, 2006) - Summa is pleased to announce a partnership with FHLBank Pittsburgh to lead the re-architecture and modernization of its Internet banking application, Bank4Banks. Offering Credit, Demand Deposit Account, Liquidity and Funding, and Safekeeping services to member financial institutions and other authorized users, Banks4Banks is a private-access, secure, transactional and informational web site. The goal of the modernization initiative is to better support FHLBank customers' business needs through a more agile, open-standards based system. The new application will be implemented using industry-leading IBM WebSphere software. Summa began the project with an assessment, providing strategic recommendations for the redesign of the application. Based on the recommendations, Summa is assisting FHLBank with all phases of the modernization project, including the architecture redesign, application development, system integration and implementation.

"We are pleased to be partnering with Summa on this high-profile initiative," said John Cassidy, director of business solutions for FHLBank Pittsburgh. "We selected Summa because they have consistently delivered high-quality services to the Bank, because of their use of proven software implementation methodologies, and because they possess the technical proficiency necessary to lead and develop a system of this scale and complexity."

"Summa is very proud of our relationship with FHLBank Pittsburgh," said Audrey Dunning, vice president of sales and marketing for Summa. "We have a significant focus on Application Modernization at Summa and the FHLBank partnership provides us with an opportunity to leverage all aspects of this important Summa practice, from inception to project planning and execution. We are excited about this project and looking forward to making it a success."
