Highmark Modernizes Healthcare Insurance Sales Process with WebSphere Message Broker
Abstract: Highmark, the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Pennsylvania, is executing an SOA-based Cloud strategy to modernize its Sales Force Automation portfolio. Highmark's requirements to access multiple legacy applications across subsidiaries was costly and became an inhibitor to the execution of sales programs and cross-selling initiatives that spanned the enterprise. After assessing various build versus buy options, Highmark chose Salesforce.com, a cloud-based CRM application platform. In this session, Highmark will relate how they used WebSphere Message Broker (WMB) to integrate legacy applications and new business processes.
