At Summa, we recognize that our employees are our most valuable asset. We strive to provide a competitive benefits package to meet the current and future needs of our employees and their families. Our benefits package includes:
Upon joining Summa, each consultant is assigned a Career Manager. The Career Manager is dedicated to fostering the employee's growth and within the first week will create a roadmap for their professional development within Summa. Our "Boarding Process" helps our consultants start their careers with Summa with the tools they need to be successful.
We are proud of our mentoring program, in which members of the technical team provide guidance and resources to new employees. One of our Technical Consultants gave this feedback in a recent employee survey:
"When asked what I like best about my job, it was an easy answer. My co-workers. The Summa Team is filled with talented technologists willing to share their knowledge and help develop my skills further."
Each year, we hold the Summa Summit, a two-day clinic where employees discuss current projects and learn about the latest technologies. The Summit provides a forum for our consultants to share their knowledge and tips of the trade with their peers.
Open communication with management is a critical factor of Summa's success. Our entire Management Team has an open door policy, soliciting input and suggestions from the employees. We also communicate to our employees on company direction, news and events through monthly roundtable meetings with our CEO and quarterly company meetings. Every employee has a voice within Summa and is encouraged to share their thoughts.
Diversity is an integral component of Summa's culture - diversity in the projects we work on and the employees that we hire. We strive to provide an interesting mix of challenging projects, allowing consultants to work with different technologies and expand their skill sets.
Our eclectic group of employees similarly enrich the working environment at Summa, bringing their professional expertise, sense of humor and cultural heritage that includes seven different countries.
Summa is dedicated to working hard, but we know how to enjoy ourselves too. Our quarterly company parties and happy hours are a testament to that.
Summa believes in giving back to the local community. Through our Summa Cares initiative, our employees volunteer their time and talents to local charities and organizations. Many of our employees recently spent the day with Habitat for Humanity, providing landscaping services for a family of three and organizing a Habitat for Humanity warehouse.
