Pittsburgh Geek Out Day (PGOD)
March 15th, 2011 Brian Gray, Consultant (email the author)
Summa sent me and another Summanoid to an Open Spaces conference a few weeks ago (specifically the Java Posse Roundup), and we returned completely jazzed by the power and possibilities of the format.
Technologists getting together, discussing what we find interesting! We would go deep technical, we would get philosophical, we would discuss business and process and productivity. It occurred to me that there are really bright people in Pittsburgh, this costs nothing to put together, so why not have one here? A few of the Pittsburgh attendees of the conference decided to organize:
Pittsburgh Geek Out Day
PGOD is a semi-regular meeting of technologists to discuss software engineering, how to be rockstar programmers, trends in software, and anything else that people find interesting.
