So - how Flexible are you?

January 19th, 2009 Jeff Stonebrook, Consultant

This entry is part 2 of 6 in the series Flex Development

I would just like to take a second to introduce myself.  My name is Jeff Stonebrook and I am a Senior Software Consultant with Summa.  I just recently led a successful project that implemented an advanced web user interface in Flex and boy - it changed my perspective of what a web application has to be forever more.

I wrote an article for our local high tech magazine and in the spirit of code….strike that,  in the spirit of article/blog content reuse, I will link out to that article.

For the nice, slick looking article - http://e-ditionsbyfry.com/Olive/AM3/TEQ/ - December 2008, page 18.  And for the more traditional link http://www.pghtech.org/news-and-publications/teq/article.aspx?Article=1902

This article is brief introduction to what Flex is, how it is being accepted within the web development community and how much momentum and support it has already gained.  As you can see by Via’s post - our company is excited about Flex and we are going try to post serious content to aide more traditional Java programmers and make them Flex programmers!  You might even say we are going to be evangelical about this technology.

We would love to hear from you about your Flex experiences - good and bad…and have a healthy discussion over the technology.  We are excited and see a multitude of opportunities to use Flex but we would love to hear your opinions - so keep them coming!

Take care!  More posts to come…
